In a significant development, Mr. Vidhi Kumar Birdi, a 2003 batch IPS officer, has been granted premature repatriation from his current posting as IG in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). The central government has directed his return to his parent cadre of AGMUT (Jammu and Kashmir) with immediate effect, in accordance with the IPS Tenure Policy.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued an official order to this effect, mandating the repatriation of Officer Birdi to his original AGMUT cadre. Officer Birdi, who hails from the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir cadre, was serving in a deputation capacity as IG within the CRPF.

This directive has prompted the Directorate General of CRPF to promptly communicate the officer's relieving date as per the central government's instructions. This development marks a noteworthy change in Officer Birdi's assignment and demonstrates the government's adherence to the IPS Tenure Policy.
