Under this scheme, 1,000 civil service aspirants will be selected through a screening test and provided with a monthly allowance of Rs 7,500 for 10 months. Those who clear the preliminary exams will receive a lump sum of Rs 25,000.

The state government of Tamil Nadu has announced a new initiative in the 2023-24 budget aimed at supporting civil service exam aspirants in the state. Under this scheme, 1,000 civil service aspirants will be selected through a screening test and provided with a monthly allowance of Rs 7,500 for 10 months. Those who clear the preliminary exams will receive a lump sum of Rs 25,000. The Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC) will work with Anna Staff Administrative College to provide better coaching facilities and study materials to these aspirants. The government has allocated Rs 10 crore to the TNSDC to implement this scheme. The Higher Education Department has also received a total budget allocation of Rs 6,967 crore for the year 2023-24, an increase from Rs 5,668 crore in the previous year.
